The purpose of the Center for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning of Democritus University of Thrace (KEDIVIM-DUTH) is to organise a wide range of educational and training programmes that fall outside the scope of formal education. To this end, DUTH draws on its academic expertise and infrastructure to develop activities and programmes addressed to both the Greek and international community. These programmes aim to provide certified training and continuing professional development, either by updating and enhancing knowledge, competencies and skills acquired through formal and non-formal education, professional specialisation and initial vocational training, or by complementing professional experience. In this way, they support entry or re-entry into the labour market, help strengthen employment prospects, promote professional and personal development, and reinforce the connection between DUTH and the country’s productive sector.
