Business Data Analytics Laboratory

Short Description

The Business Data Analytics Laboratory was officially established in September 2020 and operates as an academic unit of the Department of Accounting and Finance at Democritus University of Thrace.

It is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary laboratory whose mission is to analyse data in order to generate insights and recommendations that can contribute to improving the overall operation and performance of businesses and organisations. The Laboratory supports both research and educational activities in related fields.

Its members are particularly active in the following areas: Business Process Analytics and Process Mining, Business Analytics, Decision Support Systems, Data Analysis, Corporate Governance and Corporate Restructuring, Risk Assessment, Behavioural Finance, Foreign Direct Investment, Regional and Local Development, and Social Entrepreneurship.

Innovative Services

Το εργαστήριο επιδιώκει τη συνεργασία με Δημόσιους φορείς, Οργανισμούς, Ινστιτούτα καθώς και με παραγωγικούς φορείς του ιδιωτικού τομέα στα συναφή επιστημονικά
πεδία με σκοπό να συμβάλλει στη μελέτη και στη λύση τεχνικών προβλημάτων. Το εργαστήριο παρέχει υπηρεσιών σε ιδιώτες και οργανισμούς σύμφωνα με τα προβλεπόμενα στο Π.Δ. 159/1984 (Α ́53), παρέχει γνωμοδοτήσεις εμπειρογνωμόνων, ενώ διοργανώνει και επιμορφωτικά προγράμματα ή σεμινάρια.
